Structural Steel Processing

Standard Iron's FICEP CNC equipment is capable of processing various shapes and types of structural steel to exacting geometric data.

  • CNC Drill: 40" x 20" x 65 feet (101.6 cm x 50.8 cm x 213.25 m) work envelope; 6 tool changers on each of 3 spindles: left and right on "X" axis and downward on "Y" axis; 1-9/16" (3.97 cm) maximum diameter drilling in 3" (7.62 cm) maximum thickness; driling, milling, and tapping capabilities.
  • In-Line Band Saw: 7.5 HP; 1.6" (4.06 cm) blade width; miter capable 45 degrees one direction and 60 degrees other direction.
  • Shuttles to CNC Robotic Coping Torch: 48" x 24" (121.92 cm x 60.96 cm) work envelope; Cartesion robot to position torch for complex burning on 4 planes; 6 axis on torch heads provide full belels on flanges and webs; Plasma and Oxy-Fuel heads to cover multiple thicknesses of steel; burn paths entered via CNC programming or taken directly from CAD geometry.
